Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python-based frameworks.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to clarify requirements and ensure complete and traceable test coverage.
• Execute both automated and manual testing, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Investigate, document, and track defects and assist with root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable reporting to stakeholders.
• Help improve QA processes, automation tools, standards, and documentation.
• Assist with integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required to start.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years of Python development experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, including the ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Foundational knowledge of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and test automation concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Washington, DC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Playwright for browser-based automated testing.
• Experience with GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with GitLab CI.
• Exposure to API testing or additional test automation frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile development practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience navigating complex customer environments, including receiving and implementing requirements.
• 2+ years of experience with API integrations, including REST, webhooks, or authentication flows.
• 2+ years of experience implementing and troubleshooting authentication or authorization mechanisms.
• Experience with OAuth2, SAML, or OpenID Connect.
• 2+ years of experience building prototype applications using Python or Go.
• 1+ years of experience implementing and working with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience working with a major cloud provider in a production environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot across distributed systems, including logs, metrics, and debugging integration issues.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience working in a customer-facing engineering role.
• Solutions Engineer or Implementation Engineer experience.
• Infrastructure-as-Code tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, and Pulumi.
• Identity providers such as Okta, Auth0, or Azure AD.
• Event-driven architectures and messaging systems including Kafka, SNS, SQS, or Pub/Sub.
• Networking fundamentals including DNS, TLS, load balancing, and firewalls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Top Skills

• 4+ years of experience building production-grade applications using Python, Rust, Go, Scala, or Java.
• 2+ years of experience building or maintaining production-grade RESTful APIs.
• 1+ years of experience designing, configuring, and implementing software systems in production environments.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including GitLab CI or Jenkins and source control systems including Git.
• Experience working with Agentic AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux systems, networking, and containerization including Docker or Podman.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity best practices, secure coding, and compliance requirements.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a CS or Engineering field and 4+ years of experience with software engineering, or 9+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice to Have Skills

• AWS services and emulation environments, including LocalStack.
• Secure on-prem deployments leveraging hypervisors including ESXi.
• Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation.
• Experience integrating with SIEMs, firewalls, or endpoint protection systems.
• Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, including on-prem or air-gapped environments.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• Security+, Linux+, or DevOps related certification.
